The Law Offices of Manuel A. Juarez does both simple wills and wills litigation. To help him serve you better, here are some basic pieces of information he encourages you to have ready when you speak with him:
For Wills:
1. Have copies of all the property and their deeds involved in the will.
2. Financial records.
3. Personal property information (relating to the issue).
4. Names (and related personal information) of the intended beneficiaries.
5. Specific gifts that you wish to give to any beneficiary.
6. You should have an executor (normally a person you trust, is responsible, and is willing to undertake the responsibilities associated with executing the will). Normally this person will be several years younger (so that you will not outlive your executor!). It's a good idea to have two alternative names.
For Contested Wills:
1. Provide copies of all pertinent documentation, including all wills and trusts (if applicable).
2. If the other party is represented by an attorney, do not contact that attorney; you will need your own attorney of your choosing. When contacting our office, please have that attorney's name (preferably also his/her telephone number and address). Also include any and all correspondence from their office.
3. Call ahead of time to set up your appointment. |
